    What do I need as a first time ADSL buyer?


    Frequently Asked Questions:

    1. Am I guaranteed the line speed I purchase?
          Line speed is completely dependent on the Telkom infrastructure in that area, RSAWEB cannot be held responsible for lines that cannot sync at the advertised maximum speed.

    2. Can this bandwidth be used at any time in the day or are there catches where it is only available during certain times?
          No catches, this bandwidth can be used 24/7.

    3. If I move my ADSL line to RSAWEB, will there be any downtime?
          No, moving an ADSL line from Telkom requires no downtime. You won't even notice the change.

    4. What happens if I cancel my ADSL line with RSAWEB and want to move to another provider?
          Your line will be transferred back to Telkom, from there you can transfer to any other provider. This will not result in downtime.

    5. Does this bandwidth allow me to access local and international websites?
           Yes, any website on the internet can be accessed if it is publically available.

    6. Do I need a telephone line before I can get ADSL?
          Yes, an analogue Telkom line is required before ADSL can be installed. This must also not be prepaid or have ISDN currently installed.

    7. How do I know if there is ADSL in my area?

    8. How will I know if I have been capped?
          You will be redirected to your MyRSAWEB login screen where you can login and topup/upgrade your account.

    9. What if I want a 2MB or 3MB line speed from RSAWEB rather than a 10MB line?
          Telkom only currently offers 3 speeds: 384Kb, 1MB or 10MB.
