How to setup a Planet ADSL Modem

1. Establish your computer is on the same network range as the ADSL modem’s default IP 10.0.0.2 ie. Use an address of 10.0.0.3 Subnet 255.0.0.0
2. Enter the address of the modem into your web browser http://10.0.0.2/
3. Username “admin” password “epicrouter”
4. Configuration – WAN – VPI = 8 VCI = 35
5. Configuration – WAN –Encapsulation = PPPoE LLC
6. Configuration – WAN – Username and Password = Values from ISP
7. Configuration – WAN – Submit
8. Configuration – LAN – Settings as per your network Administrator
9. Configuration – LAN – Submit
10. Configuration – DNS – Preferred = 168.210.2.2
11. Configuration – DNS – Preferred = 196.14.239.2
12. Configuration – DNS – Submit
13. Configuration – Save Settings – Submit
14. Modem reboots and you may perform a Diagnostic Test under the Admin Privilege section to ascertain if you are online.
15. Power modem on and off then perform the Diagnostic Test to ensure the settings are programmed.
