Configuring Outlook Express to send when using iPass

iPass is an international dialup facility that lets your connect to the internet in many countries around the world. This facility make connecting to the internet in foreign countries much easier.

To setup your email account to send email whilst you are using the iPass facility is quite a simple process but does need to be done otherwise you will not be able to send email.

Instructions on configuring Outlook Express with iPass international dialup facility

Step 1: Open Outlook Express, Click on "Tools" then "Accounts"

Step 2: Select your email account and click "Properties"

Step 3: Go to the "Servers" Tab

Step 4: Change your "Outgoing" server to "smtpauth.rsaweb.co.za" and tick "My Server requires authentication" and click "Settings"

Step 5: Enter your Dialup username and password NOT your email address.

Step 6: Click "OK" until you are back to Outlook Express and test it by clicking "Send and Receive"
