    Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 to send when using iPass

    iPass is an international dialup facility that lets your connect to the internet in many countries around the world. This facility make connecting to the internet in foreign countries much easier.

    To setup your email account to send email whilst you are using the iPass facility is quite a simple process but does need to be done otherwise you will not be able to send email.

    Instructions on configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 with iPass international dialup facility

    Step 1: Open Microsoft Outlook, Click on Tools and then E-mail Accounts...

    Step 2: Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and then click Next.

    Step 3: Select your e-mail account and then click Change...

    Step 4: Change your Outgoing server to smtpauth.rsaweb.co.za and click More Settings...

    Step 5: Go to the Outgoing Server tab.

    Tick the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox and then select the Log on using option and enter your Dialup username and password. NOT your e-mail address.

    Click OK.

    Click Next and then Finish to complete the E-mail Accounts Wizard. Now test your account by clicking Send/Receive.
