    Step 1:
    Things to check before getting started:

  • Make sure the modem cable Example (Ethernet cable) is plugged into the Internet port on the Router.Example: The blue cable shown in picture
  • Plug a (Ethernet cable) into one of the ports on the Router and carry it to network port at the back of your PC.Example: The grey cable shown in picture.

    Step 2: Open up your Internet browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 in its Address field.A Login screen should appear shown below (by default) enter Username = Admin and Password = Admin.

    Step 3: The User Interface will appear in your browser: (shown below)

    Step 4: Click on the Dropdown list with the name Static IP in it and select the PPPoE option. It should now request you for a Username and Password below. Please ensure that Username has the correct ending Eg.@wbs.co.za (shown below)

    Step 5: Move down to the MTU setting and set it to Manual the Size textbox should be enabled. Set the MTU size to 1352 as it works best for iBurst.

    Step 6: Ensure that the TimeZone is set to the relevant time. Click Save Settings to store your changes.(shown below)

    Step 7: Click on the Wireless tab on the Interface. And enable the Wireless SSID Broadcast. And click the Save Settings button.(shown below)

    Step 8: Click the status tab to check your connection. Login status should be connected.(shown below)

    Step 9: If not click on the Refresh button and verify that your Username and Password has been typed correctly.
