How to setup a Telkom Marconi ADSL Modem

  1. Log onto router using the HTML Interface. (http:// Router ip address) � the default setting is usually 192.168.10.200 Enter your username and password. (the default is username: root password: root)
  2. Click quick setup.
  3. Protocol Select is PPP over Ethernet (RFC 2516) Click Next
  4. LAN Parameters IP Address: your router IP address. (192.168.10.200) Net mask: it's subnet mask (255.255.255.0) Idle Time Watcher Disabled. ATM VC Parameters. Status enable. VPI = 8 VCI = 35 LLC must be selected Click NEXT
  5. PPP Authorization. Enter Username And Password for ADSL Provided by RSAWeb Click Next
  6. Check all Settings are correct and click finish
  7. VERY IMPORTANT: Click SAVE first then click Restart.
Known Problems with Marconi ADSL router
Settings are sometimes lost during a power failure or a reboot.
