This is done in such a way, that the Virtual Servers behave and appear as if they were separate physical machines. Each Virtual Server can have it's own Operating System installed that can be rebooted independently.Using a virtual machine monitor, such as Citrix Xen, a primary application layer is created onto which the Virtual Servers can be installed. Another layer of multiple guest Operating Systems can then be installed on each virtual server.
