New features of Mobile Data
Through Mobile Data we enable you to take control of your company’s Mobile 3G and LTE data connectivity costs. At RSAWEB we are constantly striving to improve our products to ensure they fulfil all of your requirements and are easy to manage.
Following feedback from our customers, our development team has been working hard behind the scenes to add even more features and tools to our Mobile Data product. Here are some of the latest improvements that have been made recently as well as a sneak peek at what you can look forward to in the future:
- Account Top-Ups
You can now add data top-ups to your user accounts for the remainder of the month in any increment sizes you would like between 1-10 GBs. This feature gives you two choices when your user accounts are capped; either you can choose to top-up for the rest of the month, or you can choose to upgrade your account. Upgrades and top-ups both take effect immediately and will restore Internet access for your accounts.
- SIM Connection Data
Due to popular demand, we now give you four useful pieces of connection information for your assigned
SIM cards:
IP Address: The IP address that the SIM is connected with.
Connection Time: The date and time that the SIM card connected to the Internet.
Last Update: The time that the last interim update was received for the SIM card.
Online For: How long the SIM card has been connected to the Internet for.
- Capped Account Alerts
We now show you your capped accounts from the control panel dashboard, with quick options to upgrade or top your users up, so that you get them back online as quickly as possible.
- Inventory Quick Filters
From your SIM inventory you can now quickly filter to see which SIMs are currently online or offline. This can come in handy for customers who require their SIMs to be connected at all times. We’ve also created the option to find SIMs which are unassigned, so that you can quickly see how many you have available to distribute.
- New Device Added to Range
With the Huawei B315 LTE Wi-Fi router you can easily hook up your entire household to super-fast broadband Internet. It is also perfect for small businesses with its connectivity options to VoIP telephone and fax, printers and other office equipment

- Vodacom Integration
We will soon be bringing on Vodacom as a secondary data provider to complement our MTN offering, you can read a full update on this here.
- Bundle and Account Alerts
Usage alerts are being improved quickly. Soon you will have the choice to configure more notifications and daily overviews of users who have been capped or are nearing their caps, here are some of the alert options you can expect:
- Daily Report:
Receive a daily summary via email of which users are capped or nearing their caps to avoid unnecessary downtime.
- Live Account Capped Alerts:
Choose to be notified by email, SMS or both the moment any of your accounts are capped, this is especially critical for machine-to-machine communication services.
- Bundle Alerts:
Receive an email, SMS or both when your master data bundle is approaching its limit so that you can manage your data more efficiently to avoid going into unnecessary out of bundle costs.
- Bulk Account and Group Update Wizard
For our customers with large user bases, we are adding a bulk account and group creation wizard which will make it significantly easier to add large batches of groups and users to your Mobile Data control panel. This will help users get online faster and take away some of administration time required to load user accounts one by one.
