Getting your fibre connected

You’re on your way to fast fibre internet and we can’t wait to get you connected! If you’re reading this, your order is already being processed, below is a breakdown of what’s happening.

 

 

We’ll place an installation order with the fibre provider in your area They will then confirm that your home can be connected and give us an estimated installation date.

 

 

Once we have received your installation date from your fibre provider, we’ll deliver your router, if you’d like us to deliver your router to a different address than installation, please let us know ASAP so that we can make the arrangements. Please also let us know your installation date once you receive it from your fibre provider so that we can make sure it gets to you on time.

 

 

Installation time varies by area, your fibre provider will contact you directly to confirm the date. Unfortunately, you’ll need to have someone available at the address all day as the installers can’t provide a specific time. Installation is almost always finished on the first visit; it could be delayed in certain scenarios, but this is highly unlikely.

In regular homes installation can take up to 6 working weeks. Installations are usually completed much sooner, but it is all dependent on your fibre provider. We’ll do our best to get you connected as soon as possible.

If your installation has taken place but fibre is not yet live in your area, don’t worry, we will keep you updated and let you know as your fibre provider passes your home.

In an estate, complex or apartment block, installation times are similar if your fibre provider already has fibre in the building or estate. If they’ve not yet started the build into your flat/complex/estate but already have the required permissions, then it may take slightly longer. Don’t worry though, we’ll keep in touch throughout the whole process to let you know if there are any delays.

 

 

Once your fibre is installed, you’ll be able to activate your order. Simply plug in your router and follow the instructions included in your router box. You can also call our Projects Team on 087 470 0010 or helpdesk on 087 470 0000 and let us know that the fibre connection is now live. We will then remotely activate your services and make sure you are good to go, we’re also more than happy to help if you need help setting up your router.

 

 

You can now enjoy your Superfast fibre internet connection!

 

 

Depending on when your installation is completed, you will be either billed for the full month or charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the month and the fee for the next month, as we bill in advance. Billing usually goes out on the 21st of each month to be debited on the 1st of the next month. Please note, that your billing commences as soon as the installation is complete. If you won’t be at home or able to use the internet, we recommend you delay the installation. This is because we are charged for your fibre line by your fibre provider the moment your installation is completed.
