If you’re using Chrome, update your browser immediately!

November 04, 2019

We’re urging everyone to update their Chrome browsers immediately. Google has recently discovered a zero-day exploit and updated their browser with a patch to fix the vulnerability.

Usually, updates will happen automatically, but if you’ve switched off automatic upgrades or haven’t closed your browser in a while, you can manually update Chrome by following the steps below:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click on More (the three-dot icon on the far right)
  3. Click Update Google Chrome.
    • Please note that if you don’t see this button, it’s because you’re on the latest version.
  4. Click Relaunch.

Chrome will save your open tabs and windows to reopen automatically after relaunch but be sure to submit any forms and save all work in your browser before you do.

After updating, click on More, select help and click on About Google Chrome to make sure to that your version number is now 78.0.3904.8
