FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Can I use VoIP on my smart phone?

Yes, you will be able to access the PBX through your smart phone. You will need to download an app for this.

  • What if I move into a new office space?

All of our PBX solutions are cloudbased and no hardware other than the phones are deployed on-site. This allows you to seamlessly make use of this service wherever you have an internet connection, and you are not required to be fixed to the same office for the duration of this service.

  • What type of internet connection is recommended for VoIP?

Ideally you would want your VoIP service to run over a Fibre connection.

  • What is a PBX?

PBX stands for ‘Private Branch Exchange’, which is a private telephone network used within a company. A PBX allows the company to make use of features such as internal call transfers, voicemail, call routing/queuing, hunt groups, IVR, etc.

  • Can I keep my existing number?

Yes, we can port your 021 number across to our network to ensure you keep your existing number.

  • What is an IP phone?

An IP phone will allow you to make and receive calls by connecting to the internet.

  • Can I stop using Telkom as my phone service?

Yes, by migrating to a VoIP service you can stop doing business with Telkom.
