Jimmy Nevis live at Concerts in the Park

February 16, 2017

Looking for something to do this weekend? We have Sunday covered. Join us for an afternoon of fun in the sun for the whole family. Pack a picnic, gather up the kids and come and enjoy some great home-grown music.

Head to De Waal Park this Sunday (19 February 2017) for another mind-blowing free summer concert, brought to you by Concerts in the Park and RSAWEB.

Sunday’s line-up includes:

Supporting act: The Rockets

Headline act: Jimmy Nevis

Jimmy Nevis

Proving that local is lekker, born and raised in Cape Town, Jimmy Nevis never disappoints the home crowd.

Nevis: “I’m trying to get South Africa back into pop music. I think it’s so neglected and undermined and I love the fact that I can be a part of someone’s memory. Pop music has that power. I feel like I’ve been wanting this for so long that I have to embrace it.”

Bringing with him his chart toppers such as Elephant Shoes, Heartboxing, In Love with You and Balloon, this is one performance you don’t want to miss!

The Rockets

The Rockets are bringing it home to entertain you with their colourful and energetic performance.

This dynamic band spends at least six months of the year performing internationally. They have supported many international acts throughout their career, including Ronan Keating, Usher, Alicia Keys, Luther Vandross, P. Diddy and Will Young to name a few.

This versatile band has two SAMA nominations under their belt as well as a number of chart topping tracks.

Make sure you don’t miss out this weekend.

Visit the RSAWEB team at the concert, enter our competition on the day and you could stand a chance to win amazing prizes!

See you on Sunday!
